DG Dulce dB. Coyukiat
District 3780's First Woman Governor
She stands among the more than fifty women in the world who is currently at the helm of their respective districts in RY 2009-2010. She is young, beautiful and is aptly described as level-headed and circumspect, while being caring and generous. She is independent-minded, equal to challenges in every responsibility she faces. She keeps her ears to the ground, carefully chooses what she wants, and is not to be diverted from it thoughtlessly.

She has strengths that amaze. She stands for what she believes is right and listens well to make the right decisions. Compassionate, she touches people's lives so that they, too, can share their goodness with others. She leads by example to win others to her side and inspire them to carry on. She is the embodiment of a woman leader that sweeps men and women up in the same cause. She is blessed with the desired qualities that make a perfect Rotary leader: competence, deep sense of values, good sense of time management, wisdom, empathy, charisma, courage, commitment, powerful communication skills, servanthood, and resources.
She holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts, major in Communication Arts. She has, however, carved her name as a real estate broker through her own company that specializes in the sale and rental of prime residential and commercial property in Metro Manila.
In October 1994, she became a member of the Rotary Club of Centerpoint Sta. Mesa and from then on Rotary has become her world. She was elected president of the club three years later and led the club to its greatest heights of achievement ever by garnering a total of sixteen major and minor awards at the end of 1997-98.
With this rare passion for leadership, she served on the district level year after year and set barometers for success, especially as chair of the TRF Annual Giving Subcommittee and the Membership Committee. She became the first woman assistant governor and was appointed twice to the position.
In 2004-05 she served again as club president, this time of the Rotary Club of Kagitingang Cubao. In that same year, she chaired the spouses' program for the District Assembly and District Conference. As history dictated, Dulce was chosen Most Outstanding Club President and her club as the Most Outstanding Rotary Club at the end of the year. In 2006-07, she served as district secretary and member of the district awards and GSE selection committees.
On the international scene, Dulce was assistant moderator at the Workshop on Literacy and assistant sergeant-at-arms at the Asian Presidential Conference held on April 6-8, 2001. Demonstrating her support for The Rotary Foundation, Dulce is a Paul Harris Fellow + 5 and has set the example for a Paul Harris Family.
Dulce has received numerous awards, which include "Most Outstanding Rotarian of the Club" in 2002-03 and 2003-04, "Most Outstanding Club President" in 2004-05 and "Most Outstanding Rotarian of the Year" (district level - twice). She also received the "TRF Meritorious Service Award" and the "RI Four Avenues of Service Citation Award."
Dulce is married to David "Dave" C. Coyukiat, who heads the family business as president and CEO of Pioneer Insurance & Surety Corp. They have three beautiful children: The eldest, Atty. Ma.
